
Kristiansand is the 5th biggest city in Norway with 80 000 inhabitants and is located in the very south of Norway. Kristiansand is a popular city among tourists and Norwegians in the summer because of its warm climate and sandy beaches. The biggest Zoo in Norway is to be found in Kristiansand, and a newly opened waterpark.
Grimstad has 20 000 inhabitants and is the city with the most days of sun in Norway. Grimstad known for its outdoor theatre, and the famous writer Henrik Ibsen has lived here.
There are 9000 students at the University of Agder (UiA), where 6500 study in Kristiansand and the rest in Grimstad and Arendal. The university of Agder offers a wide range of degrees: economics, languages, political science, teacher education, information systems, religion mathematics, music, drama, health, sports and outdoor education to mention some.
The University of Agder supports the ESN section in Kristiansand and in Grimstad.
